Whether you're an industry veteran, an emerging creative, a passionate supporter, or even a studio looking for broad community impact & engagement, there's a place for you in the Society for Game Cinematics. We offer both individual memberships and studio memberships of all tiers to cater to a diverse and thriving community of professionals and companies!
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? Members of the Society for Game Cinematics enjoy access to incredible networking events, leadership opportunities, uniquely tailored programming, exclusive discounts and resources, and recognition of global accomplishments as part of this distinguished group. As a non-profit organization, membership dues go directly towards SGC initiatives and programs. Member benefits will continue to evolve as SGC grows and can change at anytime. WHEN CAN I JOIN? Professional and Emerging Talent membership applications are evaluated on an annual basis in Spring to remain on the same membership cycle schedule. Applications for 2026 will close on Saturday, June 20, at 11:59 Pacific Time.
ARE THERE FEES TO JOIN? Any applicable membership dues for 1 year are paid upfront with the membership application and are refunded if an applicant is denied membership. There are no additional fees for application review, processing, etc.

Join the Society for Game Cinematics

Professional ($120/Year)
For experienced creators in the cinematic space ready to connect, lead, and inspire.
Benefits: Priority networking & event access, voting eligibility, leadership opportunities, committee volunteer opportunities, premium recognition opportunities, exclusive members pricing & partner discounts, members-only announcements & registrations, online member portal, and more.
Requirements: Prospective Professional Members should have a substantial engagement in the production or development of game cinematics, or their professional endeavors should be closely connected to or in service of the game cinematics realm for a minimum of three (3) years, within the last eight (8) years prior to applying for membership. Any exceptions and extenuating circumstances must be provable, or the applicant must have been publicly acknowledged for exceptional achievements or contributions to the field of Game Cinematics as determined by the SGC Advisory Board. In addition to these criteria, individuals seeking membership should showcase their proficiency in game cinematic arts, possess a solid professional standing, and have personal goals that align with the objectives of the Society for Game Cinematics.

Emerging Talent ($60/Year)
For rising stars looking to build their path and find opportunities in cinematics.
Benefits: Priority access to community events and visibility among industry leaders, members-only updates, exclusive pricing on partner discounts filled with learning resources, committee volunteer opportunities, online member portal, and more.
Requirements: Prospective Emerging Talent Members may be working professionals transitioning from adjacent industries or who may not yet have the required work history to qualify for Professional Membership, or those working towards completing education that is related to the field of Game Cinematics and Trailers. Related fields of educational study include, but are not limited to: Animation, Computer Science, Game Development, Film/TV Production, Visual Arts, Sound Design, Music Composition, etc. as ultimately determined by the SGC Advisory Board. Emerging Members should be able to demonstrate a serious committed effort to becoming a part of the cinematics industry either through enrolled educational study, completed personal projects, volunteer work, or some public acknowledgement of relevant achievements as determined by the SGC Advisory Board. In addition to these criteria, individuals seeking membership should showcase personal goals and quality of character that align with the objectives of the Society for Game Cinematics.

Supporter (Free)
Open Year-Round. For anyone and everyone who believe in the power of storytelling through games.
This is a completely free level of membership and open to all as an opportunity for interested individuals to check out what SGC is all about. There are no professional requirements required to join. SGC Supporters receive all the same free level of access to the resources and activities hosted by the SGC that have been available (and free) since SGC’s Founding.
Benefits: Community access, updates, and opportunities to grow alongside professionals. This includes access to SGC event notifications and registrations, virtual panels/Q&As, public Discord channels, and a subscription to the SGC newsletter.

Studio: Champion ($12,000/Year)
